Adventure Gold – AGLD Token

Trading under AGLD, Adventure Gold is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain. The token is issued for the community of the Loot ecosystem and was airdropped to owners of the Loot project’s NFTs. As far as Loot goes, the official website states that it is a “text-based, randomized adventurer gear generated and stored on-chain.” In simple words, Loot is a community-driven NFT project that has launched and distributed tokens and NFTs at no cost.

A typical NFT takes a top-down approach, i.e., a creator creates NFTs, and when it grows a fanbase, it gains collectors. On the contrary, the Loot project has taken a bottom-up approach. The project has spread NFTs to the collectors. Now the community can build games, create avatars, write novels, and build upon them to make them valuable. As stated on the website, “the Loot project is the unfiltered and uncensorable building blocks of stories, experiences and games that are community-driven.”

The Loot project is unique because it has no user interface, visuals, images, or front-end functionalities. Instead, the project is a collection of 8,000 unique bags of text-based NFTs. These NFTs have texts of adventurer gear like hard leather armor, divine hoods, hard leather belts, gold rings, studded leather gloves, necklaces, and much more. The users can unbundle and claim these bags without paying any extra fee.

The Adventure Gold (AGLD) is the native token and cryptocurrency of the Loot project. The token has been distributed to Loot NFT owners without any cost. The tokens haven’t found their utility as such, but the AGLD token has the potential of being used as an in-game currency that can be built on top of the Loot project. Further, the AGLD token aims to be used as a governance token where users can vote and decide on the future of the Loot project.
